I am heading to Kenya from 11/17/07-12/01/07 with Kristi Nakayama, Jessica Nolen and Luis Lopez, who will be filmming in Kenya, to help with the construction of the school, orphanage and clinic in West Pokot so that they will be operational by the beginning of school in January. This leg of the journey will be lead by our partner and inspiration, Paul Holgate.

Later, I will be collaborating with REPACT Magnet Theater in their theater against AIDS project in the villages in Nakhuru, Kenya from 1/15/08-01/25/08. www.repact.org and www.actalive.org
In South Africa , I will first head to the honorable Nelson Mandela's 46664 World AIDS DAy Concert on 12/1/07 in Johanesburg. I am creating that I will actually meet Mandiba!!! Send blessings!
Then I will stay inJohanesburg and offer workshops to The Positive Women's Network that is creating a safe space for women with AIDS around Gauteng Province

On 12/11/07, I will then return to the townships of Gugulethu, Khayalitscha, Langa, Nyanga outside of Cape Town to do follow up to our programs from last year as well as to check up on our sponsees. Most of my time will be spent at the amazing JL Zwane Center in Gugulethu where they serve sooooo many people with "two fish and two loaves of bread!" Our sponsored orphans are being well taken care of by JL Zwane! Hooray! www.jlzwane.sun.ac.za
I will also begin new partnerships with Amanitare, a partner of Rainbo, organizations dedicated to the Health and Rights of African women and girls by promoting and protecting women and girls' sexual and reproductive health rights, fighting female genital mutilation, and developing income generating projects while developing leaders. I'm really excited about working with them, especially on future investment in the women's collectives!
